How to Send Your Materials
Thank you for trusting me with something so personal.
Every keepsake I make is handled with the utmost care, respect, and intention.
Please follow the guidance below to prepare and send your materials safely.
This page applies to all keepsakes — including ashes, hair, fur, flowers, umbilical cords, pregnancy items, and other sentimental inclusions.
💌 Step 1 – Book Your Keepsake
Before sending anything, please:
- Complete your Keepsake Booking Form or Restoration Request Form.
- Wait for an email confirmation from me before posting materials — this ensures I’m ready to receive and care for your parcel as soon as it arrives.
📦 Step 2 – Packaging Your Items
Ashes
- Place a very small amount (about ¼ teaspoon per item) into a sealed grip bag or plastic sample pot.
- Double-bag for safety and label clearly with your name.
- Any unused ashes will always be returned with your finished piece.
Hair or Fur
- Secure a small bundle in cling film or a grip bag, keeping the root ends together if possible.
- Label each packet with the person or pet’s name.
- Around a teaspoon-sized bundle is plenty for most designs.
Umbilical Cord / Pregnancy Keepsakes
- Place cord, pregnancy test sections, hospital bracelets, or other items inside a sealed grip bag.
- Ensure there’s no moisture present and label everything clearly.
- These pieces are irreplaceable — please package with extra padding and care.
Flowers – Fresh, Bouquets & Funeral Arrangements
To send fresh flowers from weddings, funerals, memorials, or any other special occasion.
I’ll dry and preserve them professionally before creating your keepsake.
Before posting:
- Please complete your booking form and wait for confirmation so I can receive and start drying immediately.
- Aim to post within 24–48 hours of your event.
- Post Monday – Wednesday only to avoid weekend delays.
- Keep flowers cool until posting — in a shaded, ventilated room (not the fridge and away from fruit).
If sending a full bouquet or tribute:
- Please send the entire arrangement intact.
Do not cut or dismantle — I’ll separate and prepare each bloom here. - You may include ribbons, charms, or photo pendants — I’ll return them safely.
- Feel free to include a short note about which flowers or colours mean the most to you.
Packing instructions (bouquets or arrangements):
- Leave stems at their full length.
- Gently wrap the bouquet in dry tissue paper or a soft towel to protect petals.
- Loosely cover with a dry plastic bag or plastic sheet — do not seal completely.
- Place in a sturdy box slightly taller than the bouquet and pad with scrunched paper or tissue (not bubble wrap against petals).
- Add a note inside with your name, order reference, and contact details.
- Mark the box “Fresh Flowers – Handle With Care”.
- Send by Next-Day Tracked Delivery (Royal Mail Special Delivery or courier).
If sending loose flowers or petals:
- Lay petals between dry tissue layers, place inside a small cardboard box or envelope, and post with tracked next-day delivery.
- Never seal petals inside plastic — this traps moisture and causes mould.
When your flowers arrive:
- I’ll message you to confirm safe arrival.
- I’ll dry them immediately using the best method for each bloom — silica for 3-D flowers, press-drying for flat arrangements.
- Colour changes are natural; I’ll always select the best petals for a balanced design.
Dried Flowers / Pre-Preserved Petals
- If your flowers are already dried or pressed, wrap them in tissue paper and place in a rigid envelope or box.
- Avoid plastic wrapping — dried petals can sweat and soften in sealed bags.
Fabric, Charms & Other Keepsakes
- Wrap delicate items in tissue or bubble wrap.
- Label clearly so I know what each item is and how you’d like it included.
- If sending photos or paper items, place them in a small grip bag to protect against moisture.
✉️ Step 3 – Posting Your Parcel
- Use a tracked or signed service such as Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 or Special Delivery.
- Address parcels to the full postal address confirmed in your booking email.
- Include a note inside with your name, order reference, and contact details.
- Keep your proof of postage and tracking number safe.
💖 Step 4 – After Your Parcel Arrives
- I’ll message you as soon as your materials arrive safely.
- Everything is logged, labelled, and stored separately for complete traceability.
- Any unused materials will always be returned with your finished keepsake.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Please do not send materials until your booking is confirmed.
- Always use a tracked service — I cannot replace items lost in transit.
- International customers — please contact me before posting to discuss customs requirements.
- Each creation is handmade and unique; slight variations are natural and part of its charm.
